Very comprehensive and enlightening coverage ! It seems Writing down the burnout experience may also help, besides asking for help such as you provide. All part of making life more and more complicated with so called modernity and an overflow of worldly information.

Thanks figen. Writing it down is a great tip. These articles have helped me for sure! Focusing on one topic and exploring it helps make sense of it. So much is part of modern living. Social support is key as we're so independent these days

Fabulous. I love the idea of a five minute break each hour, to stretch, drink water, breathe deep, take a short walk and reset. And the nutrient dense meal per day, is old fashioned, likecthe meat and 3 veg home cooked meals I grew up with.

It all makes sense.

I hope you are over your own burnout now.

I've just become disabled, it isn't burnout, but I'm grappling to come to terms with it.

And that your top 5 tips will help. Thanks.

Wow thanks so much for your kind words Alexander. I'm glad it came across in that way, as it's a fine line between going super nerdy but keeping it accessible. Starting with achievable changes builds confidence. It's a domino effect from there.

Great article. As you point out, it is all about self awareness, continually having to revisit it & utilising the neuroplasticity & incremental change ! Movement, being outside & water I find really helpful. Plus trying not to beat myself up when I go revert back to unhelpful ways!

Thanks Lou! Being outside and regular reflection seem to be the themes here. Would agree trying not to beat ourselves up if we don't meet our standards is key too. Just get back up and keep going however we can. 💜

Use some ways to keep calm during the day as this

https://www.firstaidstresstool.com

I discovered this with the help of my cranio sacral therapist, and it's one of the most efficient tool I've ever experienced recently to relieve stress on the spot. Not miraculous, has to be repeated, but it give enough calm to help go to mindfulness when it's not possible.

Thanks for sharing Nathalie. It's great to have a tool to use in the moment to bring the heat down. Gives some space to step back and look at the root stressors to break the cycle.

During burnout phases in past, meditating and walking aimlessly almost in woods or wilderness) was really helpful for me.
