I literally just ordered Oliver's book but have been too busy (overwhelmed!?) to open yet. Your post is so timely - I didn't even have the brain space to read the last few paragraphs as the Action steps started to overwhelm me (LOL ironic!) so yes please count me in for your Masterclass Sabrina!
Also well done for applying strategy 1: Embrace your limits. You have limited attention so took a break. That's an active choice which helped in the moment. Yay!
I love art, and my first degree was in advertising design. Your masterclass tickled my fancy. 🎯 Of course I'm coming.
And, I'm looking forward to your British spelling post. My Grammarly even highlights "those" when I cc and past some text tidbits, because she must know I'm an American 😂
Yes, you spoke directly to me in language I understand about areas I'm shifting. This was worth reading, pausing, pondering, grabbing text tidbits, and putting October 11 on my calendar. Yes, I did!
I too, am a recovering perfectionist and know the burnout patterns well.
My biggest takeaway revolved around Evicting The Perfection Witch (she's my proverbial freeloader on my shoulder)
Oh, just so you know, I forgive you Brits for spelling realize wrong 🤣
Australians spell it wrong as well, but the word had English spelling first, so we can be excused for our own countries spelling, you know.
Also, you're forgiven for pointing it out because of your comment about Evicting The Perfection Witch who freeloads on your shoulder.
And that, my dear Donna, is a great way of thinking about the cow that tells us we're not good enough.
You have redeemed yourself, whenever I feel that way from now on, I can think of that witchy woman on my shoulder too. So, ta very much for the good idea.
I have a weird interest in YouTube videos showing how English has changed through the centuries. For some reason, I wonder how things have changed since Chaucer and beyond. Even in the past 50 years our English sounds and words have changed. Language evolves like us - always shifting and adapting to the times.
Whys are atomic questions. (Ooh, I like that!) Take care with their precise wording for the subconscious proceeds to answer and believes it as the truth
Our core values shapes our decisions and our choices shapes our destiny. That's why we should choose values which elevates our lives.
This is a wonderful way to summarise this aspect Precious. What core values resonate with you?
Respect and honesty resonates with me because it's also some of my core values.

Thanks Fi for reading it. I know I tend to pack in a lot of info but it's there for readers to dip into and pick what works when they are ready.
Pace yourself when you're in overwhelm and savour what you consume so it lands.
I did the audible version of his book and it's a around 4 hours from memory.
Again, he's broken it up into a daily lesson so you can spread it over time. Look forward to seeing you there!
I've found saving a post makes it easy to come back to, Fi. The archive feature might be better.
Great tips Donna.
I have to go back to certain newsletters too so I can enjoy certain sections

And, I'm looking forward to your British spelling post. My Grammarly even highlights "those" when I cc and past some text tidbits, because she must know I'm an American 😂
Haha I've not used Grammarly very much. Think I played with it a while back. I find any spell checks don't seem to get my random asides...
I did a test drive on the paid pro version of Grammarly and have enjoyed the suggestions. Kinda like the 4-eyes in coding.
What I did learn is to turn Grammarly off when I'm drafting or brain dumping.
Otherwise, she continually interrupted by underlying words. What a beouch!
oooh so worth using her for editing tips only, not nosy drafting suggestions? Interesting. I need to get better at editing so might look into it.
I had only heard of Grammarly until I submitted an article on Medium. I was scolded and told to run it through Grammarly. Lol
Also dismissing a suggestion sometimes trains her.
I agree, Sabrina The Good Better Brain Witch/Wizard/Burnout and Stress Guru!
Haha I love this! I have the right name for it but haven't been a teen witch for decades!
Spent the last hour savoring this, Sabrina!
"What! An hour?" you say.

Happy you jumped on board in the eviction process, Therese. 🤗
I've been using this for so long and shared it in group sessions, they keep asking me to create it as a $9 product.
Started and stopped. Started again and got sidetracked. It just wasn't quite right.
Now I realize, I was trying to be too perfect. Geez!
Here and now I commit to monetizing the MindShift Exercise, Evict the Perfection Witch!
Getting rid of that witchy bitch is worth $9. to me, to you, to anyone.
EVICT THE PERFECTION WITCH
shall be my new mantra for this week.
Whatever I do, whatever way I do it,
it is way, way better than good enough.
(I better stop now before I second guess myself on that. It feels so weird saying it.)

Language has fluidity.
I think it always has, since cave man days.
I like making up words still.
In the book I'm writing, I've put joydays.
Not a real word yet, but one day I hope it is.
Exactly.
All words are made up!
Love it that you're joining us Donna! Wahoo!!
That Perfection Witch gets around. Pesky wench!
Haha re British spellings - that's a post in itself!
You're a Brit, so you are allowed to write in the original English, just like old Will Shakespeare did. The original and the best.
I still love single speech marks...can't beat 'em.
Maybe I should just concede and do the progress over perfection thing, huh?
Great post by the way, Sabrina. Stacks of great advice.
I'm starting just going with the self reflection for more creativity.
Plus, the good enough checklist, which I'm changing to the 'I AM Good Enough' checklist.
Why? I just felt a little ho-hum not good enough about the Good Enough on it's own.
Thanks, a million! I'll have to revisit all the to-do's too!
Hmm...I like that reframe a lot to "I AM Good Enough."
How's this feel to you, Therese?
"I AM BETTER than good enough"
Go Donna! Yessss!
I AM BETTER than good enough
is
WAY BETTER THAN good enough
Much more positivity.
Love it.
Thanks Donna!
Way Better than.
Whys are atomic questions. (Ooh, I like that!) Take care with their precise wording for the subconscious proceeds to answer and believes it as the truth
Glad you're riffing on these ideas and making them personal!
This is how we take these lessons and use them for our self-growth journey x
Okay then, I'll convert this to a well-crafted why question to reprogram the subconscious:
Why AM I BETTER than good enough?
Thanks much for the nudge, Sabrina 🤗
Thanks for the double nudge, budge or gentle flick against my hip with yours.
I effing love it.
